Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (Chafea)
This executive agency of the Commission manages EU programmes on consumer rights, health, agriculture and safe food.
Responsibilities
This department manages programmes in support of policies on
- Consumers
- Public health
- Agriculture and rural development
- Food safety
- implement the EU health programme, consumer programme and Better Training for Safer Food initiative
- manage relations with 2800 beneficiaries and contractors involved in 400 projects/service contracts in the fields of health, consumer protection and food safety
