Funding programmes
Funding & Tender Opportunities Portal for open calls for proposals under the funding programmes reflecting major policy domains of Justice and Consumers.
The REC Programme contributes to develop further an area where equality and the rights of persons are promoted, protected and effectively implemented.
The Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme contributes to the further development of an area where equality and the rights of persons, as enshrined in the Treaty, the Charter and international human rights conventions, are promoted, protected and effectively implemented.
The budget for the programme is €439.5 million over the period 2014-2020.
The Justice Programme aims to foster mutual recognition and trust in judicial cooperation and helps to address training needs of justice professionals.
It promotes judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters, helps train judges and other legal practitioners and facilitates effective access to justice for individuals and businesses throughout Europe. The programme also supports EU action to tackle drugs. The Justice programme has been put in place to ensure that Union law is fully and consistently applied.
The total budget allocated to the programme for the 2014-2020 period is €378 million
The Consumer Programme finances measures in the field of consumer protection policy in line with the European framework for smart and sustainable growth.
The general objective of the Programme is to ensure a high level of consumer protection, to empower consumers and to place the consumer at the heart of the internal market, within the framework of an overall EU strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.
Europe for Citizens supports initiatives to strengthen remembrance of the recent European history and to enhance civic participation at EU level.
Europe for Citizens is the EU’s programme for funding projects that:
- help the public understand the EU's history, values and diversity
- encourage citizens to participate and engage in democracy at the EU level.
It has a total budget of €187 million for 2014-20.
